Soil Stabilisation Solution
DuraCrete is a soil and cement stabiliser for the construction of base/loadbearing layers created through the solidification of the following materials:
Natural soil.
Recycled old base layers recycled into aggregate.
Crushed concrete waste and crushed recycled roads – including asphalt pavement.
The first benefit of the addition of DuraCrete® is that it eliminates the need for all traditional base/loadbearing layer processes for road and infrastructure projects, and removes the need to excavate soil and construct road base with aggregates. The addition of DuraCrete modifies the soil and cement hydration process during the solidification formation. This results in significant improvements in the loadbearing and durability properties of the transformed base material. Additional benefits include extremely intensified frost-thaw-resistance and water impermeability. The following illustration demonstrates the difference between conventional base / bearing foundation construction and the same with the addition of DuraCrete foundations and the thickness of the base / bearing layers.
